What are the parking options at the hotel?
The Skirvin Hotel offers valet parking. If you would rather self park, the Santa Fe parking garage is immediately adjacent on the hotel's east side. To park at the Santa Fe parking garage you will need to drive in from the north side of the garage off Robert S. Kerr Ave, or from the east side of the garage off Gaylord Blvd. However, you can enter and exit the garage, on foot, from the Skirvin side of the garage.
How do I make sure I am requesting the conference group rate for my room?
As of April 13th, the group rate block of rooms is sold out. As of this writing, there are still rooms available to reserve at regular rate.
How do I register to attend the conference?
Click on the "Register for Conference" heading and complete the required information. If you bring family or other guests be sure to register them also by selecting the "add another person" button after you have completed your personal information. Then enter the required information for your "guest of attendee."
Can I change my registration information after I have already completed it?
Yes. Toward the bottom of the "Register for Conference" page, immediately above the conference logo, is a link to modify your registration. You will need to enter your email and user created password to modify it.
What activities are my family or guests able to attend?
We would love to have your guests join us for the Sunday night reception, dinner and concert; Monday afternoon activity; and breakfast buffets. Of course, they are also welcome in the hospitality suite when open.
What airport is closest to the conference venue?
Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City is the only commercial airport reasonably close to the venue. Go to the "Travel" page for a link to the airport. The Travel page also has a link for rental car companies at the airport.
Is there public transportation in downtown Oklahoma City?
There is not extensive public tranportation in downtown Oklahoma City. There is ongoing rail construction in the downtown area for new streetcars but, unfortunately, they will not be completed before the conference. There are horse drawn carriages, canal tour boats, and rickshaws but, most of downtown Oklahoma City is within walking distance from the hotel if you can tolerate walking several blocks. Uber and Lyft are available here.
Will the Oklahoma City Dodgers be playing at home during the conference?
Yes, they will be playing at home June 25-27 against the Nashville Sounds who are the triple A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
Will the Oklahoma City Thunder be playing at home during the conference?
No. Sadly, the Thunder lost in the first round of the playoffs.
Is there an emergency medical facility nearby?
Yes, both St. Anthony's Hospital and OU Medical Center are within appoximately 1 mile from the Skirvin.
Should I pack clothes for hot temperatures?
The average high in late June is in the low 90's but, it could range anywhere from 80 to 100. We will certainly put our request in for pleasant temps but it would be prudent to consider the possibility of heat in packing your attire.
